These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CAUSE Marketing Agency’s website and services.

1. Services

CAUSE provides professional digital marketing services, including:

  • Website optimization and on-page SEO
  • SEO blog writing, SEO content creation, and publishing
  • SEO audits and performance reporting
  • Backlinking and off-page SEO
  • Lead capture setup and optimization
  • CRM configuration and management (AI PRO)
  • Email marketing and SMS campaign management
  • Google Business Profile optimization and management
  • Review monitoring and response support
  • SEO-aligned social media content posting

Specific services and deliverables are defined in proposals or Statements of Work (“SOW”).

2. Client Responsibilities

  • Client agrees to:

    • Provide timely access to required platforms and systems
    • Ensure rights to all content, data, and customer information provided
    • Obtain required consent for lead collection, communications, and reviews
    • Review and approve content when required

3. Third-Party Platforms

Services rely on third-party software, including AI PRO (GoHighLevel), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Business Profile, SEMrush, SE Ranking, Yoast SEO, and OpenAI/ChatGPT. Use of services constitutes acknowledgment that third-party terms and policies apply.

4. SEO Audits, Analytics, and Reporting

CAUSE provides SEO audits and reporting using industry-standard tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, and SE Ranking. While these tools are widely used and reliable, data accuracy may be affected by factors beyond CAUSE’s control, including browser settings, consent preferences, ad blockers, and platform limitations.

Reports are provided for informational and strategic purposes only and do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue.

5. Website Optimization and SEO Content Creation

CAUSE may perform on-page SEO optimization, keyword research, SEO blog writing, content creation, editing, formatting, and publishing directly to client websites where access is provided.

Client authorizes CAUSE to access website content management systems for these purposes.

6. Backlinking Services

Where included, CAUSE may perform backlinking and off-page SEO services. Backlinking outcomes depend on third-party websites and search engine algorithms. CAUSE does not guarantee backlink placement, authority improvements, or ranking outcomes.

Backlinking services are subject to additional fees unless expressly included in the SOW.

7. Lead Capture and CRM Management

CAUSE may implement lead capture systems, forms, booking tools, automations, and CRM pipelines using AI PRO. Client retains ownership of all lead and customer data. CAUSE acts solely as a service provider for configuration and management purposes.

8. Email Marketing and SMS Messaging

Email marketing and SMS services, including campaigns and automations, are subject to additional fees unless otherwise stated in writing. Client is responsible for lawful consent, compliance with applicable regulations, and list integrity. CAUSE reserves the right to suspend messaging services where compliance risks are identified.

9. Google Business Profile and Review Management

Where included, Client authorizes CAUSE to optimize Google Business Profiles, publish posts, and monitor or respond to reviews according to agreed guidelines. CAUSE cannot guarantee review outcomes or platform availability.

10. SEO Content Approval Workflow

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • SEO blog content and major website updates will be submitted for review
  • Client has five (5) business days to provide feedback or approval
  • Lack of response within that period may be deemed approval
  • Minor SEO edits do not require prior approval

11. SEO and Social Media Approval Workflow

For SEO-aligned social media and Google Business Profile content:

  • Content calendars or samples may be provided for approval
  • Client has five (5) business days to respond
  • Silence may be treated as approval
  • Emergency or compliance-related edits may be made without prior approval

12. Fees and Add-On Services

Certain services, including backlinking, email marketing, SMS messaging, advanced CRM automation, and review solicitation campaigns, may incur additional fees. Only services expressly listed in the SOW are included.

13. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

Upon full payment, Client receives a license to use SEO content created for their business. CAUSE retains ownership of proprietary methods, frameworks, templates, and non-confidential methodologies.

14. Disclaimers

Marketing and SEO results depend on external factors beyond CAUSE’s control. CAUSE does not guarantee rankings, traffic, reviews, leads, or revenue unless expressly stated in writing.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CAUSE’s total liability is limited to fees paid in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

16. Termination

Either party may terminate services in accordance with the SOW. Upon termination, access to systems may be revoked and data handled per agreement terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
